Chinese lantern Vocalist from Harborough Robin Maughan shot footage of a mysterious object in the sky above Western Avenue park in Harborough Last week on mondayLast weeks Harborough Mail featured the story, half-a-dozen calls to the office by readers who had as well seen the unidentified airborne object.However, as with previous sightings relayed to the Mail in 2007 and earlier this year, it seems that a basic Chinese lantern is likely behind the mystery.Michael Williams said he saw 2 individuals setting off a lantern close to his home in Farndon Road shortly before Mr Maughan shot his video at about 10pm.Barnard Gardens occupant Barry Loakes, contacted the Mail to say The lanterns measure about 3 foot high and Six lanterns released during a birthday bash at a home in Lubenham Hill, Harborough, in February 2007 caused a UFO stir This year earlier on it also occured after one was let off from a house in Kettering Road.Trevor Jones disagrees that these are lanterns after viewing 1 while dog walking in a local green.Mr Jones, of Morris Road, related the object to a jellyfish and recalls noticing a similar object a month earlier.a different possibility was put forward by Maddy Ward, when she saw the video and supposed it appeared like a large space station in the evening sky..
